Accumulated Degree Day Departure From Average Model
A Degree Day Accumulation is calculated from January 1 of the current year. The accumulation uses a modified arithmetic method (base 50° F) on daily minimum temperatures. The seasonal accumulation is subtracted from a 30-year (1971-2000) average seasonal accumulation.
Model Key
Accumulated degree day departure values (Degree Day Departure in key) ranges from < 900° F to > 900° F in increments (color classes) of 200°, 100°, and 50° F depending on the proximity of a value to 0.
Users should take note of the non-linear increments in the key when interpreting a map value.
Accumulated Degree Days Model
A Degree Day Accumulation is calculated from January 1 of the current year. The accumulation uses a modified arithmetic method (base 50° F) on daily minimum temperatures.

Daily Average 2-inch Soil Temperature Model
The Daily Average 2-inch Soil Temperature is calculated using an arithmetic method on daily maximum and minimum soil temperatures at a 2-inch depth. The values are intended to represent soil temperature under a clipped grass surface.

Daily Minimum 2-inch Soil Temperature Model
The Daily Minimum 2-inch Soil Temperature landscape model represents the 2-inch daily minimum soil temperature under a clipped grass surface.
