Corn Phenology Model
The Corn Phenology model was developed following the Hanway staging system and uses the longest maturing hybrid per grid, but the specific maturity class may vary from grid to grid. The model depicts development of crop sown early in the planting season. (See the Iowa State University publication on the web at: http://www.extension.iastate.edu/hancock/info/corn.htm for information on Hanway staging for corn).
